Running out onto Mestalla is always something special. It's the dream of the 450 players who train every day at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna and who look in the mirror of Gayà, Guillamón, Jaume, Fran Pérez, Jesús Vázquez, Javi Guerra, Mosquera, César Tárrega... and company.
Some of the VCF Academy players had the opportunity to experience Mestalla on Wednesday at the ceremony to recognise the five Fútbol 11 teams who won their respective leagues, which took place before the Valencia CF - Real Sociedad match."It has been an incredible experience," said Marc Martínez, who received the applause of Mestalla along with the coaches and captains of VCF Juvenil A, VCF Cadete A, VCF Infantil A, VCF Femenino D and VCF Infantil B. "Hopefully in the future, it can be repeated, but as a first-team player," said Marc.
"As a coach, it has also been incredible," said Vicente Amposta, champion with VCF Cadete A. "The results reflect a job well done, which also shows in the players who make it to the first team. It's not just the work of one day or one coach, but the work of the whole VCF Academy," said Amposta.
The VCF Femenino D players were also very excited. "We want to thank the club for showing our daily work," said Gemma Pastor. "The fact that the women's section is present at this type of event gives visibility to the club's commitment to women's football and professionalisation," concluded Jonás Navarro, last season's champion coach with VCF Femenino.
